Floor Slab
The floor slab is a “new” component for the Greek market with tremendous potential application in most building projects. Using floor slab in metallic or conventional construction, the manufacturer automatically avoids molding, plastering, half of the reinforcement and saves time, quality, economy and security.
The industrial floor slabs produced according to DIN, need only temporary support and when additional reinforcement is placed, in-situ concrete is filling the upper surface. The thickness of the whole floor slab in accordance with the static analysis is about 20 to 25cm while the thickness of the floor slab is 5-7 cm incorporating the main reinforcement. The surface of the roof construction with floor slabs does not need plastering because it is perfectly smooth and ready for painting.
The floor slabs are widely used for decades abroad both as a residential high-rise buildings, bridges and shopping malls. For the construction of the slabs without beams the floor slabs are delivered assembled with polystyrene at the surface. When the additional reinforcement is placed then the concreting begins immediately. The prominent panel and the rough upper surface of the floor slab ensure full cooperation on the ground with concrete floor slab.
